ROUND LAKE HEIGHTS – A martial arts demonstration was part of Round Lake Heights' 50th-anniversary celebration, which doubled as the 17th annual village festival.

A bat found in a home June 27 in Third Lake has tested positive for rabies. This is the sixth bat that tested positive for rabies in Lake County this year, Lake County Health Department/Community Health Center officials said.
